BUILDING ON TRADITION
INNOVATION BY CONTEMPORARY DESIGN: CONTINUITIES AND DISCONTINUITIES
September 2014
We are honored to be invited as special guest and expert in the 3rd Meeting of International Initiative Committee, treating the subject of Danube International Center for Advanced Studies on River-Delta-Sea System.
With the occasion we developed a specific presentation treating the subject of TRADITION VERSUS INNOVATION. The presentation underlined the importance of using local materials, of building conscious of future architecture print.
The presentation had drawn several conclusion, as finality to the specific study on SUSTAINABILITY AND DURABILITY and GREEN BUILDING.
The illustrated old archive support is an extras from the presented as Dobrogea – Memory of the Earth, Dimitrie Gusti, 2008.
a project initiated, coordinated, implemented by:
INCDSB
The National Institute of Research and Development for Biological Sciences
in partnership with:
GeoEcoMar
The National Institute for Research and Development of Marine Geology and Geoecology
The ecological component of the project is a resultant of employing the usage of local construction materials, of finishes with a high biodegradable coefficient (in terms of decomposition into the environment), on the one hand, and of reducing/limiting the transportation flow required by the building process, on the other hand.
Key aspects:
-building with bricks: ZIA as an energy efficient double wall
-saving on site formworks: investing in community labor force, preserving tradition: skill continuity.
-traditional image reinterpreted: chromatic, texture, material.

Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum
it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything.
Do you have any tips for newbie blog writers? I’d definitely
appreciate it.
